2025 marks the 75th year of Drayton Manor and to celebrate, the park have some plans in store!

Now I’m really looking forward to this event as they say it’s the parks 75th birthday but it will only be 5 years in August since the looping group has taken over.
Now the Bryan’s never got to celebrate the parks 70th with the floods putting an end to the Feb half term event. Then they opened for 1 weekend for the Thomas and friends weekend before they were forced to close for the national wide lockdown. By the time they reopened in July they tried to sell the rides to the Mellors group and in return the Bryan’s just owned the hotel and the land and they would have got Rent off the Mellors group but the deal wasn’t done in time so they went into administration and was sold for 15 million.
Now the looping group need to thank the Bryan family and Would love for a plaque to be installed in the park to thank the work George and Vera did.

The resort opened on 1st May 1950, so hopefully the mayday bank holiday will be a big bash and celebration of the park.

They could use it to announce the refurbishment and reopening of the pirate adventure in 2026! Or do I need to stop dreaming??

Imagine tho, i think it would be brilliant and the best time ever for them to do it. Or imagine if they opened it up, but that won’t happen but imagine

I wonder how that will work in June and July when it’s not pitch black to nearly 10pm
What I also like is that there’s a picture of Pirate Adventure on the 75th anniversary page.

They have done fireworks in the lighter evenings before - though it has never looked very effective.

Do you think there will be celebratory things all year like a big cake, birthday flags and shows etc?
I would say so yes :) Big decorations / marketing.

Hopefully they learned there lesson as when they did it in 2023 they went off at half 8 then last year it was 9pm but with the queue lines closing at 8pm a lot of guests were just hanging around and were let down by it not been dark and the sound quality.
