Financial performance of the park

The financial statements have been filed at companies house.

For the year ended 30th September 2023, the park saw a drop in turnover from £30.8 million to £29.3 and pre tax profits from £3.5 million to £2 million, on first hand there was a decline in the park, but personally I think given that the only addition was in Thomasland and the poor weather and cost of living crisis, these aren't bad results. The hotel revenue increased whilst the theme park was down.

The financial statements don't give too much of a clue as to the cost of the new rides given that there was capital expenditure of £3.9 million on rides with a further commitment of £2.6 million. I suspect this will largely be the Wave.

The future in my view is looking good, and whilst the park has been quiet, the future with the additions look good in my view as the new coaster and area is attracting a lot of attention.
