One of the newest rides to open at Drayton Manor was in 2017. The park saw the return of a classic ride that used to operate at the park from 1998 - 2007. Even though the ride is built brand new, this Zamperla Samba Balloon model has returned back to the park after 10 years with the IP of James & The Red Balloon based upon the story from Thomas & Friends Season 6, episode 15 which aired back in September 2002.

I love the additional theming, with smoke effect, that was added behind this ride! Lovely addition!

For a young kids ride it is quite rough. I’m shocked how fast some guests spin the wheel they don’t come off feeling sick.

Maybe there waiting on a part for it? Seems to be the only reason they’d shut a ride forthis long. Shame as it’s quite new

It had a few technical difficulties and was awaiting a part, but it reopened later this afternoon.

I see the steps and ballon still aren't there

The Balloon wont go back as with the queue currently set up outside the main queue line there isn’t the room. I really hope James goes back to his original area

I hope he moves to but that's the area with the ride about him but he does need to move

It might go back when the queue line get shortened when they move the extra bits
