[2024 Event] Spooktacular Halloween

The Castle trick and treat trail was opened today. You buy a bucket for £5 (or £3 in advance) and you go in. We went round multiple times, not sure if this was allowed or not?

There are 3 sections - the first has a witch and glow in the dark hula hoops with UV lights. The second has the bearded entertainer doing a Rabbit race with some toy rabbits - you choose a rabbit to win. The last had a clown where you all throw balls into a picture of a clowns mouth. In each section the kids get 3 sweets for their bucket - so 9 in total.

Was good enough, especially as it’s free if you don’t buy a bucket.

Also a hay bale trail with a sticker prize.

Just out of interest, we're the buckets the same ones they used last year? We have several left over, surely I could bring them along if they're the same?

Trick or treat castle was a lovely lil experience with a selection of fun characters and interactions.

The treats along the way are nice too - our buckets were quite nicely filled.

It has no story (which could be a nice upgrade for next year) and is easy going and relaxed.

Bare in mind, you may have a short wait at some sections but it's not a bad wait at all :) the team are pretty good at the throughput.

We loved the hat bale trail! Properly in the park this year and can be picked up ag either the entrance or guest services.
Sticker and a few treats as a reward. Definitely do this and the castle ✓
[more to come on this in a video I'm editing at the moment but for now here's a few photos]

To follow on from the above, the latest DT video has been released which shows you bits of everything.
(Please note, this contains footage inside the Trick Or Treat castle, if you're wanting to go in blind for that part, I recommend skipping the internal footage / not showing your child etc)

Another "new" style of video series I am working on, hope you all enjoy what we do.

I'm glad Drayton have gone down the route of a family Halloween event rather than a thrill one like they did a few years ago - which I might add was unfortunately done quite poorly.

So, is it now an uncharge to do the Castle? Originally the park were advertising the castle as free but are now sending out emails saying that you must purchase a bucket to enjoy the attraction. Seems a bit naughty that they've changed this

Without a bucket in your group, you won't enjoy it half as much. As far as I've seen, there always was a cost on there.

As long as you have 1 bucket, you're good to go really :)

I'm sure the original advertising around the park pre this weekend said that both the Hay Bail & Castle were free.

That said, we've just had our 1st run through & tbf to them, they've done a very good job. Light hearted scares with a couple of familiar faces in there too.

The event is certainly better than it was 2 weeks ago on our last visit but some BIG QUEUES are forming round the park for some rides
