Halloween is back at Drayton Manor with a few changes this year.

Night At The Manor and the scarier attractions that accompanied it have been removed along with the trick or treat option around the food outlets.

New for 2024 is the Carnival of Spooks which looks like a new walkthrough which will take place in the Castle of Dreams potentially!

More information can be found below, the event is included for passholders

How disappointing this is but think like Victoria said they aiming for the families with kids 10 and under and a scare zone and maze doesn’t fit the direction the park is going. Glad now I got scarefest booked for the 27th October.

is nice seeing castle of spooks return from 2022

I love the castle of spooks is returning as this was a great addition but I’m gutted about the train not returning. This was a great experience which my 6 year old really enjoyed. Scary but not too scary.

I feel like the train was partly dropped due to the queue troubles with it all last year.

The castle of shadows doesn't suit the target audience the park is aiming for which is why that one hasn't returned (shame as I personally missed It)

I liked the trick to treating last year around the shops so that's an unfortunate loss but then again, looks like it'll feature in castle of spooks

I do like that they are experimenting and trying different things but I’d rather have something that has been committed with funding behind it than the poor show that we have been seeing with all of this events. I get it from a cost perspective but it’s a shame as it has so much potential.

Personally think it's a shame having a more family friendly event as the scare attractions were popular so potentially needed although they weren't to right for there target audience it feels very lackluster as there is so little offering but feels strange considering they probably spent quite a lot of time and effort with the scare zones to be just be used for a year.Understandably they want appeal to younger guests but this feels a little to far personally.

All I can think off they made a loss on the event last year as didn’t the train break down 1 evening for a couple of hours so many families got a refund.

One thing I noticed on the email that went out

NEW - Carnival of Spooks walk*
️
NEW - Hay Bale Trail*

*Attractions only available October 26th - November 3rd

---

If you're wanting to visit to try these two attractions, they aren't running for the full event and are only present from the 26th. I should be able to fit in a visit to try them but that was quite a fine print at the bottom considering the line above advertises the event from the 4th :)

Looks like they are going more spooky than scary. The Haunted Express was good but was an unintended nightmare to board with the timeslots beign shorter than the time it took the train to go round and change passengers, it was madness.

Themed food for the event from Fun Foods & Burger Kitchen.
Will you be trying any of these?
