2025: General Discussion

The “secret” event is a pay-per-ride event with “free” entry.
Not going to share my thoughts on this until after it has actually happened, but I wonder how paying for the rides will work? Do you have to buy tokens from around the park? Do you have to pay when you reach the front of the queue? Let's just say I can see lots of ways that this event ends badly, and almost none where it ends up being a success.

Even though ops are poor at Drayton, Drayton Manor is still a fantastic park and I am really excited for its future to see what it adds next, hopefully ops can be better with time. The more attractions it gets the more capacity the park gets

But they need to speed up the capacity on existing attractions, Storm Force 10, running less than half it's original boats. Having great rides is sort of a mute point if you hardly can experience any in a given day. Adding a few more attractions wont be as effective as running their rides better would be.

It's free entry for the two days, pay to ride. £10 for 5 tokens, £20 for 10 token and £30 in advance for unlimited rides. £35 on the day. Party like the 80s on 24 and 25 April. Source Drayton manor Facebook page.

From personal point of view as a pass holder, I would rather go when it's at a normal level. It would have to have something going on like fireworks or Freddie Mercury tribute to go on a busy day. It's at the end of school holidays so last minute announcement. Therefore could go either way and not be busy if people see the cost. Some may go for nostalgia and zoo. Be interesting to see if it works then they may do a free weekend. Looks as though they are doing nothing this year for pass holders who support the park. I like a lot will be working in any case.

This is total crap.

As a passholder you have already brought an effective wristband AND entry to the park. Seeing as passholders have paid for this, I find it very cheeky they give entry to free for everyone else, without offering something to passholders.

Then they also have the cheek to say passholders get a free wristband. What are these guys smoking? Its not free, an annual pass was already purchased.

It's only for 2 days so maybe it's a trial run to see if it works your still getting on the rides for free, why can't everybody have the chance at free entry to the park

2 days or not, as a passholder we have paid for those two days, so as I have paid, I would expect the value of those two days to be re inbursed, as I have paid for them. As a passholder I am not getting on the rides for free, ive paid for my pass.

You still get free parking, discounts in Shops and Food so you are still getting multiple benefits. And free wristband any annual pass pays itself off quickly with multiple visits
