River Rapids

Nope, it would be the maintenance (it had a pretty serious break down the other week where it was down for a good few days)

The rework won't start until the end of the season (as they are keeping Shockwave as it is for the remainder of the season for last chance to ride ✓)
Ah ok

Not seen the rapids stored in this area for years

Can’t even remember the last time I saw it operate and cause of my son not been tall enough I not been on it since the start of the season.

Is the boat in a different position?
Nope, the boats are "free flowing" they tend to spin as they hit the wall.

As you can see in the photo the water arcs, if you are actually nearest to the wall which they sit on top of it passes safely over your head, like being underneath a waterfall.

Went round yesterday evening, was able to stay on and have two trips round.

It seemed that the pace has been upped which gave much more up and down movement and visible white water in sections. Still no smoke in the tunnelly/barny bit and whilst the geysers were working the spray jets weren't.

Still enjoyed the experience though.

Don't think these have been posted here, but here are the mist, water effects, and general consumables that B S T added for the rapids, taken from some interesting angles around the ride

Inside the tunnel, (originally built by Space Leisure) showing the new misters that B S T added, interestingly using hydraulic nozzles to generate the mist using high pressure water, instead of using the conventional water absorbing chemical based misters

The back of the old pumping station building

The pnumatic driven water shots they added, testing below . Those levers haven't moved for a long time.

The old mining company building, (originally built by Space leisure) after it had been turned in to a boat. The original building influenced the new Gold Rush coaster, and had a sign with a very similar appearance to the Gold Rush sign/logo.

It would be good to see further effects added throughout the rapids area.
