I’m not sure but it looks like the operators cabin has been removed from the station platform. It looks like there’s a new building going in opposite.
Interesting, I would guess that is for greater visibility.
I imagine when this reopens it's going to have a lot of cctv on it.

Took some more pictures including exclusive pics of the boats that arrived today.

I think with the new safety measures going into place and the new boats and theming can see this re-theme costing 7 figures.
I can confirm the control room is been moved opposite.

No I was looking out for new cameras as I think it’s a certainty it will be blanketed it cctv cover now.
I did notice that the old cameras have all been removed though (none were visible from the train).
There is also a new metal bridge across the trough and it looks like there are wooden guide rails through what was the first pinch point where the building that generates waves is, where boats used to get stuck.

No its actually just on the roof of the queueline! The theming on it looks fantastic and even better in person

Thanks, I’ve had a look on the Intamin site and the 9 person boat does look exactly like the image Drayton published. I guess it makes sense them being the rides original manufacturer.
I wonder if intamin are involved in the refurb ?
They almost certainly are. Apart from the actual trough, almost all of the ride system has been replaced. I believe it’s had new pumps, a new operating panel, new motors and new wood everywhere. As well as new boats. I think the only remaining things from Splash Canyon are the trough, station buildings and the turntable.

I think they know with the 1 million fine the former owners got. They know with the HSE report they got to get this right to get the safety certificate and signed off by HSE. By the time guests get to ride it again in June/July only the route will be the same. Can also see staff positioned all around the ride with E-Stop buttons
Yes i can also see that happening, maybe in some of the themed buildings and having a lot more CCTV coverage on pretty much every aspect of the ride to ensure guest safety

CCTV is ok if someone watching it from the moment the ride opens to it closes. That’s why I can see staff stationed around the course.
I think that maybe what the new metal bridge is for, to allow easier access across the ride.
