The Haunting

Victor Creations, a provider who has been responsible for animatronic refurbishments on Sheriff's Showdown and more recently a test car repaint, has released an image of a clay project being completed for The Haunting at Drayton Manor.

Personally I'm very interested to see what this could be used for on the ride and can't wait to hopefully see it in use somewhere in the future. The detail in this piece is incredible, we would love to see this used at some point in the Haunting. What do you think this could be for?

I went to Drayton a couple of times when they had the school trips and I could barely hear anything from the pre-shows. The kids were being disrespectful and being extremely loud and I could tell all the people who actually wanted to listen we’re getting annoyed. I think the attendants should give warnings to the kids and if they keep disrupting it they should be kicked off the ride.

Strange that the research building has been given such a rustic appearance. The house is supposed to be old, not the investigation team or buildings. The stuff inside there looks ancient, nothing like an 'investigation in progress'. Removing that would be a great opportunity to add something new to showcase the investigation teams efforts to enter the building. An artillary weapon of some kind, or something that you'd of expected to see in the original storyline.

noticed that the chapel has been changed, the music still holds where the tomb shuld open but it does not, the smoke machines still work but the hand does not come out. could this be connected to the new peice being creted above?

Another update from the talented Victor Creations who seems to be working on a cast for the Haunting. The finished product to the image posted above was released on Instagram earlier today, it shows the head now has a body attached, also has hair and additional detail on the face.

Whatever this is being used for in the Haunting it is very impressive and a welcomed addition to help add to an already amazing experience. It's always great to see this work being done by the park and it has been great to watch this project develop - looking forward to confirming where the cast is used after it is installed.

The new animatronic has been installed to the Haunting! We experienced the ride for ourselves today and noticed that this has been installed inside of the coffin in the middle of the Chapel, it is far more effective than the hand that formerly resided here. Attached is an image from the creator, Victor Creations, on Instagram.

She looked good when she came out the tomb but she was facing the other way so couldn’t really see her but looks so much better than the hand. The room before had a few updates as well.

I can agree with this. I never liked the hand, it didn’t fit with the storyline and was just cringey. What are these updates you say have happened in the room before?

Some of the effects programming has been changed a bit as it’s makes a better story line now also to cover up the skeleton support bars I noticed to smoke machines blast down and this scared quite a few adult guests.

I did The Haunting yesterday and it was running fine until the chapel. There is a strange buzzing noise that’s extremely loud, I assume it’s from faulty speakers. This is also evident when the volume decreases not too long into the show, which happens every single time. I think they should be replaced for next season as it’s just ridiculous now.

did it the other dsay and the audio in the chapel really isnt good, there is a constant buzzing like a cable isnt plugged in propely, this is more noticable when the attendant is loading, but can still be heard throughout the duration of the ride. I've noticed the speakers are under the seats, so hoepfully it would be easy enough to replace the very tired audio system in the chapel to match the standard of the rest of the ride.

would als like to see them fix the leg ticklers in the chapel, put new light bulbs in the library as three are out now, fix the back skeleton in the basement.

I've noticed that new wooden panelling has been installed above the main exit doors! There has also been new vinyl-type stickers added to the windows of the adjacent Eat Drink Enjoy Outlet. It's great to see the park attempting to make The Haunting even more of a complete themed experience.
