[2024 Event] Christmas Wonderland

Went today - definitely busier than a few weeks ago.

Gold Rush open - but on one train so quite slow operations. Hopefully this doesn’t become the norm!

Sheriff showdown was in a bad state - with one of the four cars broken completely, and two of the others having at least 1 gun broken.

And £4.50 for 5 marshmallows for toasting….ouch!

Yes it’s an older ride, but even my 5 year old asked what was going on in Sheriff Showdown today. No scores, no sound, no ‘you’ve got a bonus’ (his favourite part) and half of the animatronics broken. The lady in the barrel was even facing the wrong way!

A terrible state for a ride in the brand new area!
 
It’s a shame as 3 weeks ago nearly every target worked. The latest update is 7 years old but the ride itself is 25 years old. I do Worry if they can’t fully maintain this or the Jungle show in the pizza restaurant then what chances have we got to seeing a new dark ride in the pirate adventure building
 
Thomas' Hot Chocolate Express -
I do feel like there was meant to be some audio but we didn't have anything bar the usual music so I put a soundtrack over our video.
A nice idea, but I feel the effect is lost a little in the light. Has anyone tried this in lower light?

We rode it twice yesterday & whilst I agree the state of the ride in in a mess, I can't complain at my 63,000+ score. The ride host was very good with the queuing public, making a joke of the empty car going round. Does need some love over the closed period though
 
Annual pass holder going with the kids on Sunday or Monday. We are not going to the grotto as they have already seen santa, can anyone clarify please if there is anything else festive we can do? Have looked at the videos above and seen there is a Rory show, Thomasland show, and the Thomasland train is illuminated. Do you get access to the hot chocolate factory as well or is that just for grotto tickets? Just trying to work out best time to arrive really!

There are four different shows in Thomas land, the Lory show, Rory show and Jingle Bell Pop Party shows

There are marshmallows available to toast (but I hear they aren't a big bag)
Hot chocolate factory is part of the grotto but you can still buy a hot chocolate if you wanted one on park

Pretty much everything in the video (As we aim to catch all the event offerings on the videos in the what's on series)

The train is available in the day light for all guests but I heard when it starts to get dark only grotto ticket holders can use the train and yes the hot chocolate factory is only available for grotto tickets. I did hear you can buy and make your own in Thomas land.
