Gold Rush (New for 2024)

We just shared a construction update on the DT social media pages :)
I'll be back on park this weekend so can get some from the other side of the park when there

I notice the park is closed on the Saturday 13th July could this be the day that vloggers and the media get to preview the coaster and it opens to the public the following day.

I saw that and assumed it was a park buy out day like they have on 9th March. I would have thought they would want it open earlier personally.

The park is closed on the 23rd March but that will be the opening day for social, media and maybe Gold/Platinum annual pass holders get a preview of the new area and other improvements around the park. I was thinking after I watched back Shawn’s video that the coaster with feature 30+ elements and will be fully themed. Like the track ain’t been finished yet or no building have even been installed yet and when they got to be all themed to fit into the Western theme. They not even given a Spring or summer opening yet.

I agree it needs all theming aspects to be completed. Vikings was great, but some theming aspects weren't quite right. Adventure cove opened in two stages in 2021 with Rapids opening later. The investment is big so they need to get it right. I'd like it open earlies but hopefully it will be open May/June.

If we have a show scene in the coaster, there could possibly be a dynamite explosion! And that dynamite explosion could send the coaster full force backwards back through to the start of the coaster. Maybe the dynamite could explode in a mine with loads of smoke effects. Just a theory, a theme park theory.

Was thinking that cause how low the coaster goes to the ground the coaster may not be fully finished off to all cranes and high construction vehicles have finished working on the ride and buildings as currently the only way in and out the site is by the Hamilton suite.

Some photos from me from today.

I can't explain it, but it looks different in person - I couldn't get a "good" photo

That’s the final piece of track going in and on the lift hill I wonder if you will go up it twice as the switch track is at the bottom of the lift hill
