I know the rain levels earlier this year were unprecedented and never seen before as the park said, but I think they could consider dredging the river in the zoo to try and reduce stress downstream, maybe look at widening the small area the water passes through to leave Drayton Manor. I imagine all of the water potentially comes upstream into the lake, which we know drains into Excalibur and then potentially drains into the brook in the zoo? That would make sense to me, and removing stress at the lowest point would be the ideal solution to avoid this ever happening again.I wonder if they done any work around the lakes and in the zoo areas where it flooded?
