I dunno, I reckon that there'll have been plenty of kids on the school trips that will still be interested in getting their hands on one.
This is a fair point to be honest I didn't really think about that. Also during Summer I imagine a lot of children will want to get one so their parents may use the machine.

There is 1 less than 2 miles away.
The bottles are empty and you exchange them for a new 1 in the arcades.
That makes more sense... Easier to pick up, less weight and less likely to break

- James and the Red Balloon (this has been mostly dismantled)
- Polpero Express
- Dodgems
- Sheriff Showdown
- Drunken Barrels
- River Rapids
- Air Race
- Soft Play
- Blue Mountain Engines
- Rocking Bulstrode
- Captains Sea adventure
- Flying Dutchman
- Lady’s Carousel
- Shockwave has also had a fair bit of downtime
Queues big on everything else as a result!

I’m here too, seems quite busy which is good. I bet it will quieten down later on, I doubt most people will stay until 8pm.

Why what's wrong with James and the red Ballon are they getting rid of it
It isn't going anywhere.
It's most likely maintenance which is waiting for a part. (Imports & waiting on parts to be manufactured and shipped from overseas)

Maintenance or staffing?
If it's staffing and there is anyone monitoring these boards from the park let me know. Sustainable staffing supply and staff development is my thing.

I think staffing is definitely playing a part.
When Sheriff Slowdown closed, the queue boards went up, but the existing queue was run down. So the ride was fine - only reason I can think of is staffing?

Polpero express wasn’t open at all in the time we were there so much be lack of trained staff.
Dodgems also wasn’t open at all
Sheriff could have been a lunch break but was at least closed for half hour we were by there.
Drunken Barrels was open at the time we were there.
River rapids not sure what’s up with that as that’s been closed for weeks now
Air race was listed as closed on the entrance list.
Soft play on warm days it looks like they don’t op to open it.
Blue mountain was closed all afternoon
Rocking Bulstrode also closed all afternoon
Captains sea rescue was open when we went by
Lady’s carousel was closed
Shockwave I did see it wasn’t working to the late afternoon.
That is very bad for a park that’s only listed on the website 4 attractions that wasn’t available.

And even worse if rides are being closed for staff breaks. Not what you expect from a “top” theme park on an August day.
This is absolutely terrible, especially in the Summer Holidays. If it is staffing then I think they need to hire themselves some more!

Well they will need to update their recruitment page on the website. There are no operator positions listed at the moment although there are engineer positions.
