2024: General Discussion

Look at the queues the rides were getting today

Yeah at 5pm the queue was inside the end section of the mine. Lucky we had easy access pass but we still had to wait around half hour. Think they closed The wave at half 5 and by half 6 all of Adventure Cove was closed off and didn’t reopen.

2025 opening has been updated on the website. Looks like default opening hours in case anyone wants to plan for 2025 visits. Zoo only days from 25th January, February half term, selected dates in March for Thomasland, then closed 22-23 March so wonder if passholder day plus family day they did this year. Looks like main season 29th March 2025. Someone may want to set up a new discussion for this.

Hi, I was just wondering as I'm taking my brother to the Christmas event, do I need to buy a grotto ticket aswell because I've booked through the pass holder thing but I've only bought him a ticket, will this still work? Thank you:)

Everybody who goes in to see Santa and the Castle of Dreams Christmas experience will need a grotto ticket. This is also needed for Rusty & Dustys Hot Chocolate Factory as I understand it. So if you want to do any of this with him, you will need a ticket also.

Everyone intending to enter the Grotto needs to have a ticket for the grotto regardless of age :) This ticket is also for Rusty & Dusty's Hot Chocolate Factory

So my dad needs a ticket even though he won't want to sit on 5⁴
Yes, if he is visiting the grotto / Hot chocolate factory he will need a ticket.

Don't worry, he will get a treat too.

[I will be there on the 1st so can do a full report when we have visited]

If this is right then I've made a total mess of my order....

I've booked 3 slots on the accessible grotto for my kids, the date and slots are now sold out so I cant add more, I've got 2 nimbus access cards with +1 so assumed it would cover us in the grotto as the kids obviously need us with them.

I'm actually quite worried now

I just read up on all the pages and you will be able to get into the park for free with the showing of the nimbus card.
Please note you will only receive a free essential companion ticket when accompanying a paying guest 4 years + and your access card displays the +1/+2 symbol

Not sure what date you want to go but checked the 23rd December and there’s lots of slots available for the accessible grotto. Have u got an annual pass as you could book a slot before your visit and pop to guest services as they can sort it out for you.

I've already booked for the 21st December and thats when weve booked our hotel stay too...I'm sure they'll help if and where they can..bit daft tho that a 44 year old man needs a ticket to see santa..I think we'll be ok tho as both our nimbus cards have +1 on them.

Like last year, my daughter who was 13 at the time, she didnt have a gift so they gave her a hot chocolate token and one of the gift bags that had the free return golden ticket in but couldnt use the ticket as the age limit for the ticket was 11..

Yeah, I think an swift email and they'll be able to help. After all, you won't be taking another "slot" just wanting to add to an exisiting one.

i wouldn't leave it too long though because whilst sorting things out is normally quite quick, getting a response in the first place is sometimes frustratingly long.

The ticket is so you can get the hot chocolate and for numbers for the experiences.

Drop them a polite email and also message their facebook page, the helpful staff will help you out
(I don't know how it works with Nimbus/Carer passes as I don't use the services)
