2024: General Discussion

We played crazy golf at dusk this evening and had a pleasant surprise to see the old chair lift supports still in place. We located a total of 3 this evening.

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask, but why is it that you can't book park tickets for Saturdays in advance?

What date are you trying to book and is this with or without annual pass?
I've never had an issue booking for Saturdays (and just checked this weekends saturday is book-able)

If you can, share some screenshots of what you're seeing and we might be able to help. (but guest services may be needed as we don't represent the park's CS team and don't have any specialist access) - Please don't have personal info in the screenshots though

I think the chair lifts was at the end of there life and needed a minimum of 3 members of staff to operate.
The looping group need to add more rides that have a high hourly output like the Wave swinger, Thor and now Gold rush.

Ride throughput is definitely something that needs improvement. The easiest solution for this would probably be to just get a second train on The Wave.

I think they been shocked how popular the ride still is after the backlash of it going from a stand up to sit down coaster was at the announcement last year

It has the infrastructure for 2 trains, unlike the last few years of shockwave where a lot of the blocks were hardwired together, so it's definetly something they have considered as an option.

There's a small sale going on in ThomasLand gift co at the moment which has a range of items on sale at a reduced price.

This includes Apocalypse Shirts, seasonal items, toys and some Thomas themed clothing too

I don't know how long this will be open.
Annual pass discount cannot be used

I do wonder why this clearance sale could be happening, I mean it could be to clear stock. But Terence doesn’t have loads of space, so could they extend Terence to where the shop is? Or a whole new ride, it is quite wide the space in there.

I doubt it because if they wanted the shop gone they would just put the stock in one of the other ones.

The shop hasn't been open to the public until this weekend when the clearance sale was on. It's just a space to put all sale items in one location :)

I don't think it has anything to do with the buildings future, it's more that it's a convenient building which has shop capabilities.

This shop always seems a bit strange when there is a much bigger shop in Thomasland. It only opens at busy times and even then is always quiet. Makes business sense to use it as a clearance shop. I always thought it would be a good place for meet and greets as it is often closed as a shop. It was closed Saturday afternoon when we went into Thomasland!

It turned into a mini meet and greet when I was in there on Monday - Sir Topham came in to see everyone!
